"Building Blocks" is an innovative theatre class designed specifically for 3rd and 4th graders, merging the creative arts of theatre and construction play. In this unique program, young participants are given prompts to inspire their imaginations as they build with LEGO bricks, crafting vibrant and imaginative structures. These creations become the foundation for an original script, encouraging students to translate their three-dimensional masterpieces into stories and characters for performance. As they develop their script, children learn the basics of storytelling, character development, and dialogue creation. The process not only enhances their creativity and problem-solving skills but also builds teamwork and communication abilities. The class culminates in a showcase where students proudly perform their script, bringing their LEGO-inspired stories to life on stage. "Building Blocks" provides a dynamic and engaging environment that nurtures both the artistic and analytical minds of young learners, leaving them with a sense of accomplishment and a passion for both building and performing.
